We connect medical services and humanitarian aid to rural and under-served communities affected by the war in Ukraine.

Global Disaster Relief Team, Inc. is a 501(c)3 (EIN 88-0974863) non-profit organization formed by a group of U.S. medics in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

MISSION

GDRT sends skilled medical professionals to hot spots in Ukraine and border countries. We procure donated medical supplies and deliver them ourselves to the places in Ukraine where they are most needed. We evaluate the need on the ground and see how, using the resources in our diaspora community, we can fill them.

About

We are led by a group of experienced emergency responders, medical professionals, and strategists. Using our connection to the Ukrainian and Russian-speaking diaspora, we help refugees gain access to medicine and evacuate crisis areas.

To date we have deployed over 120 medics and support personnel, shipped over $2,000,000 in medical supplies, have treated thousands of patients and evacuated hundreds of refugees, including those requiring special transportation.

Who do we help?

According to the UN, more than 9 million people have fled their homes since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Of them, half are children and 80% are women. The escalation of conflict in Ukraine has caused civilian casualties and destruction of civilian infrastructure, forcing people to flee their homes seeking safety, protection and assistance. In the first five weeks alone, more than four million refugees from Ukraine crossed borders into neighboring countries, and many more were forced to move inside the country. These people are in need of protection and support - including help with evacuation, gaining access to medicine, and finding places of refuge outside of active war zones.
